Coming soon: Wildflowers & Whimsy Patterns!

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been obsessed with fashion, and my taste has always been a little, well…over the top. But, hey! The higher the heel, the closer to heaven, right?  My mom can attest to the fact that even at the age of three, I didn’t care how uncomfortable a pair of shoes was or how many sizes too small they were; if I thought they were fabulous, and I could get my foot in them, I was wearing them!  I like my earrings and bracelets big.  I wear a smoky eye on the beach. And as long as I can remember my mom has been shaking her head saying, “That’s not practical”.  And for a while, I tried to listen.  Really, I did, but the honest truth is, I don’t want to be practical!

Problem is, my mom was partially right {shhhhh!  she can NEVER know I said that!!} Comfort is important.  I’m much more likely to wear something if it’s both comfortable and fabulous, and so is my daughter, Sophie.  I can’t tell you how many adorable dresses I’ve made that she refuses to wear because while she loves the look, they simply aren’t comfortable for her. That’s why I am super excited to be launching Wildflowers & Whimsy Patterns: where pretty meets practical… in March 2013! My goal is to create fabulous clothes that will make every little girl feel like the princess she is, but are still comfortable and easy to wear.

And since I simply couldn’t wait to share the new look coming {hopefully} later this week, here’s a little sneak peek at the new design:

    Hi April :D
I think this is a great idea. I am a fan of all things comfortable, if you can combine cute/comfortable then I think you’ve hit the nail on the head . Looking forward to all your new creations. Havea a great day!
