Have you ever felt like you where made for more? Like there’s something bigger you’re supposed to accomplish, but you just aren’t sure what it is or how to do it? That’s exactly how I felt for years. I’d always wanted to be a stay at home mom and homeschool our kids, but even though I was able to do that – and I absolutely LOVE it, – I still felt there was something more I had to give.
I believe that we all have a certain calling on our life, and whatever that calling is – whether it looks like a huge undertaking or it looks very simple in the world’s eyes. I believe whatever it is, God gives us the strength and ability to fulfill His calling on our lives. So I tried A LOT of different things, but nothing was ever really the right fit. From the beginning, my biggest goal was always to encourage women. I wanted to inspire them, and give them that little spark of bravery that says, “If she can can do it, I can do it.”
So in an attempt to make a long story short – something I’m NOT very good at- After many failed endeavors, I discovered Beachbody. I’d been trying for about 11 years to lead a healthier lifestyle with not much success. We ate frozen pizza for lunch and corn dogs for supper. I read an endless number of books and blog posts. My husband had a running joke with my family that I had our entire retirement fund wrapped up in unused bikinis and workout dvd’s, and I so clearly remember the way I felt that day sitting at my kitchen table with my plate of chicken nuggets pinning healthy meals and meal plans.
I felt like nothing would ever change.
I felt hopeless.
I was exhausted.
I felt like there was no life running through me, and I was angry because I felt like there was nothing I could do to change it and call it chance, but I call it the grace of God, – I discovered my very first Beachbody Challenge group. And I feel in love with the way the program was done, the way the eating plan was set up, but by far the most valuable to me was the community, so I decided to join. I decided to become a coach myself – because just so you know, you don’t have to know it all to be a coach. You just have to be willing to share your journey and help others. That’s it.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE A COACH?
The short answer is: ANYONE can be a coach, BUT to be a successful + effective coach, it does take some work. This is no get rich quick scheme. You are going to get out of it what you put in, so if you aren’t willing to put in the time + effort you can stop reading now….For those of you still with me – FIST BUMP! Because the possibilities truly are endless. So me, I like to have checklists, so let’s go on ahead and say you MIGHT be a good coach IF…
WHAT IS COACHING?
Coaching is truly ANYTHING you want it to be. If you fall in love with Shakeology and simply want to be a discount coach, that’s cool. You get your superfoods shake at a 25% discount – which the whole reason I even tried Shakeology was because I was looking to add all these superfoods to my green smoothies, but the cost per month was INSANE. My cousin had been telling me about it and when I finally realized it was whole foods AND had ALL the superfoods I’d been wanting to try, I figured why not? So I did, and I immediately felt the results. Long story short, I fell in love and here we are.
I also had a desire to encourage and inspire people. I like sharing what I learn along my journey, I like talking to people, so I figured why not make a career out of it?
But the truth is for me, it’s more of a passion than a career.
I love what I do.
I love the women I help and the friends I have made – whether they are one-time clients, discount customers, or rockstar coaches, they are all lifelong friends. Each one has taught me a little something about life and a little something about myself.
I like that.
So if you really want to know what coaching is all about, the truth is, it’s different for everybody. It’s a little bit of this. A little bit of that. But for me, it’s mostly just about this…
That’s really all there is to it. Oh yeah…and you can make some money too – I have so much fun, sometimes I forget that part. And don’t get it twisted. I don’t make a huge amount of money at this – although I personally know quite a few people who do. But for me, it’s just about being the best person I can be for them and helping others do the same for their family along the way. If money follows, you know ain’t nobody gonna complain about that!
But these 4 here, they ARE my why…
AND THE LAST REASON I LOVE THIS COMPANY…
I have always been a pretty insecure person. When I was given the opportunity to meet the CEO of the company and one of my favorite trainers, I was ecstatic…but I might have also threw up in my mouth a little from nerves just beforehand.
Not just one of them, but BOTH of them IMMEDIATELY set me at ease. They were so welcoming. I felt like I was home. It was just so far from what I was expecting. And I continue to see it in them everyday.
It’s what prompted me to found this team, and I am PROUD to tell you that I am not anywhere close to the top of the company – but I am more than happy to connect you with those who are if that is what you are looking for – and I assure you they are just as genuine and awesome as I could ever be.
I won’t lie and say that the Top Coach position hasn’t caught my eye. I would love to be that girl. But I have to follow my own path – and my own path says, “if I get there I get there if I don’t I don’t.”
I believe in shooting for the moon.
I also believe in just being you.
So if I never make it to Top Coach, I’m alright with that.
Doesn’t mean, I won’t fight for it…just means I don’t believe my value lies in it.I (And btw, I am not saying those up there are that way. I personally know many of them – I assure you they are NOT like that. I just mean to say that no matter how bad I want it, I HAVE to follow God’s path for my life. If that doesn’t include Top Coach, that’s okay and it doesn’t make me a fail.
I just love this company and love helping people.
And part of me says, “well. you just gave them every reason not to want to join your team.”
But for the people who are meant to be a part of my “tribe,” I hope I just gave you every reason TO join.
Oh! And I guess I should share our team’s mission statement just so you can be sure before you apply…
